Choices

Often, I find myself marveling over the influence the human mind has. Much like a tool when used properly may accomplish considerable good. Even more incredible is the mind’s ability to make choices. Observing this and the motivation behind is equally intriguing. I try my best to maintain a steady fast of news and current events but occasionally I give in because, “curious minds want to know” what’s occurring.
In those periods I give in I watch or read online and observe how and why choices are made. Amidst the reporting I can conclude that often the egoic aspect of the mind of people being discussed made choices stemming from an emotional charge that resulted in some personal gain rather than what was beneficial and edifying for all involved.
Today my blog muse is precisely that. Choices! When making decisions do I FIRST direct my decisions through the filters of love, joy and peace? Or am I allowing my emotions to dictate the direction of my choice. I must remind myself not to be swayed by sentiments in my decision but from a logical and sound perspective ALWAYS filtered with love for those involved, peace with the process, and joy with the outcome. When I purposely open my self up to these eternal attributes in every decision, I know that my mind “the tool” given to me is in alignment with Adonai, and is functioning from a higher perspective.
