Pandemic Song It Is Well With My Soul

This past Sunday like many who came together to worship, modern technology and Zoom was our venue. Oft times change may only transpire when the "status quo" of our life's are interrupted whether through crisis or suffering. Suffice it to say both are happening on a myriad of levels globally and perhaps personally. When we prudently and sincerely utilize this time to "be still and know" to listen and truly examine ourselves our hearts and thoughts we may find that this could be the needed trajectory which catapults not only you on your path BUT, all on earth, to a journey of more love, more purpose, more compassion, and a genuine righteousness.

Subsequent to my Sunday worship time I found myself humming an old, yet well known, spiritual song written by Horation Spafford, entitled, IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL. He wrote the lyrics to this song in a time of great suffering. Horatio probed and analyzed himself in the midst of tragedy and was able to exclaim from his deepest essence that YES "it is well with my soul". I dare say Horatio was in perfect alignment with the will of the Creator thus being bestowed the grace to pen such profound words passed down for generations to come. Simply leaving you with something to ponder and perhaps sing to yourself.
