Weeds of Surrender

Recently whilst reading a book I found myself pondering various portions I’d just taken in. Tis written in a manner that the reader should sincerely and solemnly search themselves’ if walking in emotional liberty, spiritual fullness, yes, and even physical fitness is the earnest desire.

SURRENDER is certainly a word not preferred by many in one sense, although in another, it’s contingent on the context (and content) of what is meant, what is being surrendered and why.

The “what” to surrender are what I call weeds that potentially and with persistence may envelope us if we don’t acknowledge them, uproot and surrender. To name a few: anger, the need for control, shame, toxic thoughts, toxic emotions, criticism and judgmentalism and a plethora of other labels we may affix. All weeds if unhindered WILL grow and result in varying unwanted consequences.

If you’ve ever enjoyed the loveliness of a garden or a nicely manicured lawn, then you know it takes ongoing maintenance. The “why” in this blog is what areas in our life’s (if we’re honest) need to be periodically uprooted and surrendered so that we may be imbued with vitality. Much like you, I’ve learned over the years the benefits of routine self-searching and re-examination. Experiences and circumstances in our journey’s will ever arise and if we’ve been diligent in lovingly maintaining the landscape of our hearts and minds then enjoying the benefits that accompany this is natural.

What benefits you may ask? Medical research overwhelmingly demonstrates that faith and edifying positive thoughts and words are an important part of physical health and healing. This is equally germane to emotional healing that sets you free to be all you are meant to be. Above all is the advantage of a luminosity that exudes from our very essence, one that is attractive to all we come across. Finally, a gratifying spiritual life with The Creator which only makes our sojourn on this earth more divine.

SURRENDER THE WEEDS AND HAPPY SOUL GARDENING!
